Funerial service for Kay Frances Rayburn Crain, age 82, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2026, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home 943 Polk St. Mansfield, Louisiana, with Ronnie Osborne officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at the Union Springs Cemetery in Converse, Louisiana.
Kay was born on May 23, 1943, in Jasper, Texas to Fred Taylor and Mildred Rayburn Taylor and entered into rest on March 9, 2026, in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Preceding Kay in death are her parents, Fred Rayburn and Mildred Rayburn Taylor; sisters, Melva Boyett, Martha Varnell, and Billie Chamblee; brother, John Rayburn; and grandson, Dillon Crain.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Martin Crain and wife Candace; daughter, Brenda Crain Bush and husband Tommy; her ex-husband, George Crain; sisters, Mary Van Orden and husband John, and Betty Folsom; grandchildren, Martin Crain II and wife Stephanie; and great grandchildren, Aaliyah Crain, Kendra Crain, Case Crain, Owen Crain, and Rylee Crain.
Kay had a gift for making everyone around her feel heard and loved. Whether she was cheering on her beloved Kansas City Chiefs or Texas Rangers, sharing a treasured hug from her “Grands”, or simply lending a listening ear to a friend in need, she lived her life with a generous and fun loving heart. Her memory will live on in every dance, every hug, and every moment of grace she gave so freely.
