Shreveport, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Allen Rainbolt, age 87 will be held at 12:00 noon on February 5, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Reverend C.E. "Skip" Rainbolt, Jr., pastor of Fillmore Baptist Church in Haughton, LA. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. for family members and from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. for friends. Interment will follow at Forest Park West, 4000 Meriwether Rd. Shreveport, LA. Refreshments will be served at Kingston Road Baptist Church following graveside service. Katherine Rainbolt was born April 17, 1932 in Ashland, LA where she also was reared and schooled and wed to Thomas E. Rainbolt. She loved the Lord and Kingston Road Baptist Church. Also loved to explore God's beautiful world, which she did in the last 20 years of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Earl Rainbolt; son, Thomas Raymond Rainbolt, Sr. and daughter, Charlotte Ann Rainbolt. She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Lynn Gilson and husband Christopher. She has seven grandchildren, Thomas R. Rainbolt, Jr. and wife Melissa, John Foster, Jr. and wife Samantha, Jimmy Rainbolt and wife Tara, Jeffrey Foster and wife Kerry, Daniell Baldree, Jerry Foster and wife Stacey, and David Rainbolt; 13 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Honoring Mrs. Katherine Rainbolt as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Tommy Rainbolt, Jr., Jimmy Rainbolt, John Foster, Jeffrey Foster, Jerry Foster and David Rainbolt. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be her granddaughter, Daniell Baldree.
