HOMER, LA: Karlie Jo Russell (Roberts) (Wren) passed July 16, 2020 at Minden Medical. She was born June 28, 2001 in Missouri.
Karlie was preceded in death by her mama, Liesa Roberts and daddy, David Roberts; two brothers, Brett Gist and Tyler Moak; paternal grandparents, Bobby J. and Ann Roberts of Homer.
She is survived by her three brothers, J.D. Roberts (Stephani), Dekota Roberts (Taylor and Isaac Stielly of MO; second parents, Poppa and Mimi (Jamie and Mary Wren); two sisters, Ashley Wren and Dallas Wren (Zach); biological father, Greg Moak of Athens, LA; biological mother, Lori Stielly of AR; grandparents, Delane and Sarah Moak of Athens; great-grandmother, Ms. Jo Walsh of San Antonio, TX; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends.
The family would like to thank the 3rd floor Minden Medical Staff, Dr. Melinda Willis, Dallas Wren, Ruby Smith, Felna Kohel, Lisa Guidry, Ashley Wren, Sarah Moak and Jessica Garza for all their love, time and devotion over the last years-and our church family at Lighthouse, y'all are awesome.
Karlie, you can now see, run and dance. Don't forget how to do your Elvis kick. Dance for Jesus' mercy and grace, Baby, no more pain-Mimi loves you so much, my sweet, sweet angel. R.I.P. Karlie Jo Russell Roberts
Pallbearers honoring Karlie will be Dekota Roberts, William Roberts, Zachary Brewer, Cody Nolta, and Dwayne H. Walker.
In lieu of flowers honoring Karlie, her family suggests memorials be made to Lighthouse Family Worship Center of Homer, LA or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Funeral Services were held for Karlie at Lighthouse Family Worship Center in Homer, LA, on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. James Wagg, officiated and Bro. Bob Jameson, assisted. Interment followed at Hurricane Cemetery near Athens, LA. The family received friends at the church from 9-10 a.m., prior to the service.
