A memorial service honoring the life of Karl Herbert King will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Chaplin Steve Smith.
Karl Herbert King was born October 4, 1943 in Plaquemine, Louisiana to parents Wallace King and Hazel Williams and passed away, Monday, October 28, 2019 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was one of eight children.
He attended Pinecrest State School and Evergreen School. From there he went to the Vivian Group Home on March 7, 1986 and on July 27, 2018 he was discharged from The Arc Caddo-Bossier. His loving advocates are Henry and Melody Von Einem who have maintained a close relationship with him for many years.
Karl attended Frost Industries workshop in Shreveport. He enjoyed eating out, visiting with his friends, watching movies and listening to country music.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving friends Harry and Melody Von Einem, The Arc Caddo-Bossier family and in particular the Vivian Group family.
He will be always remembered for his sense of humor, generous heart and his love for others.
