Karissa Nichelle Jacob

Funeral service for Karissa Jacob, of Marksville, will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the St. Mary's Congregational Baptist Church in Marksville. A visitation will begin at 9:00am until time of service on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the St. Mary's Congregational Baptist Church in Marksville. Burial will follow at the St. Mary's Baptist Cemetery.

Karissa Nichelle Jacob, age 30, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025 at the Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville.

Karissa loved to sing, and her voice brought joy to everyone who heard it. Music was always a source of happiness and expression for her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her father, Willie Browhow; mother. Shantelle Jacob (Willie) of Marksville; sisters, Ja’mesya C. Browhow of Baton Rouge, Ja’maya C. Browhow of Marksville, and Tytiana Browhow of Grand Prairie, TX; brothers, Willie Jones of Monroe and Marion Browhow of Chicago, IL; aunts, Annette Jacob of Baton Rouge and Linda Jones of Baton Rouge; uncles, Samuel Jones, Jr., Gary (Kita) Jones, Shaft (Calisha) Jacob, Kevin (Ashley) Jacob, and Perry Jacob; niece, Emily Browhow; nephew, Jason Jones; and niece, Ju'riha Henderson; she is also survived by a host of cousins. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Willie Browhow, Willie Jones, Gary Jones, Shaft Jacob, Kevin Jacob, De' Latten Browhow, Adrian Sullivan, and Keonte' Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers include: Tehran Martin, Lon Rogers, and Perry Jacob.

She was proceeded in death by her maternal grandfather, Bernard Jacob; maternal grandmother, Emily Ford Jacob; grandmother, Elois Browhow; and grandfather, Eugene Browhow.
