Justin Robert Brooks

Justin Robert Brooks (J $ / JRB), age 30, passed away on May 7, 2025. He was born on October 21, 1994 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Robert (Bob) and Cindy Brooks.

A visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. with a celebration of life service to follow at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA 71118.

Justin married his first and only love, Hailey M. King Brooks. He worked for Jimmy Williams and his family for many years and loved them like his own family. He was currently working at Bearing Service as a welder. Justin loved spending time with his kids, Carter (12), Averi (6), and his nephew, John Brooks, Jr. (3) who called him “Uncle Money.” Justin also loved riding his street bike with his brother, Austin and all his friends in the bike group.

Justin was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Rufus Brooks; maternal grandfather, J.P. Meshell; stepdad, Brandon Robinson; and cousin, B.J. Lovvorn.

Left to cherish his memory include his parents, Bob and Cindy Brooks; wife, Hailey Brooks; children, Carter Jackson and Averi Michelle Brooks; brother, Austin Brooks; nephew, John Austin Brooks, Jr.; paternal grandmother, Francis Coward; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Helen Gaines; uncle, Steve Meshell (Teresa); aunt, Barbra Davis; cousins who were like his sisters, Sunni Meshell, Courtney Meshell and Harley Meshell; cousins, Brooks Bridges (Brandy) and Jacklyn Thompson (D.J.); step grandparents, Ronnie and Vanessa Robinson; step uncles, Chris Robinson (Erin) and Ryan Robinson (Lauren); and Godparents, Tony Leach and Paula Bain.

Justin’s impact extended far beyond his immediate family touching the lives of a wide network of friends who will miss his infectious joy and huge smile.
