June was born on June 4, 1932, in Franklin, Louisiana, to Thomas Edwin Gahn and Evelyn Couillard Gahn. She passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023, in Bossier City, Louisiana.

June went to St. Paul’s School of Nursing in Dallas, Texas, and became a registered nurse. She was a true Southern lady who passed down her respect for others and the drawing joy from the beauty in life.  She enjoyed being well dressed even just at home. June was married to the love of her life for 67 years, Donald Woodward. They owned their own small trophy shop business.  She was a devoted wife and mother and a devout Catholic who prayed her rosary daily. Her faith was of the utmost importance to her. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, and tending to her plants and flowers. She loved beautiful flowers, and she truly had a green thumb. June loved animals, especially her little princess Libby. Family was her everything, and she loved to have holiday celebrations with the family and would go above and beyond to make it special. She enjoyed South Louisiana seafood, especially crab. June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed.

June is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Woodward; and five siblings. She is survived by her sons, Scott Woodward and wife, Cathy, and Ed Woodward and wife, Roxie; daughters, Nancy Miller and husband, Clay, Susan DeFanti and husband, David, Laura Hassell and husband, Doyle; grandchildren, Matt Woodward and wife, Brianne, Jessica Loar and husband, James, Stephanie Puckett, Amelia DeFanti, Abigail DeFanti, Christopher Hassell, and Lauren Smith and husband, Damon; and great-grandchild, Oliver Donald.

Honoring June as pallbearers will be Matthew Woodward, James Loar, Chris Hassell, Damon Smith, Doyle Hassell, and David DeFanti.
