Bossier City, LA - Juanita Faye Fuqua Storey passed away on December 5, 2018.
Born in Ada, OK January 10, 1926 to Ida Hubbard and Alva Fuqua, Juanita grew up in Columbia, LA where she graduated from high school. In 1945 she met WWII Veteran Columbus Monroe Storey and on July 30, 1946 they were married in St. Joseph, LA. In 1951 the Storeys moved to Tallulah, LA where they spent their married life. Mr. and Mrs. Storey were the owners of Tallulah Motor Supply, Inc. for many years. Mrs. Storey was an active member of Homemaker's Club, card clubs and of First Baptist Church of Tallaluh.
Preceded in death by her husband in 1996, Mrs. Storey then resided in Bossier City, LA to be near her daughter, Sandra Geneva Worley and husband, Ron. She is also survived by her son, Columbus Monroe Storey, Jr. and wife, Judy of Missouri City, TX; grandchildren, Ron Worley, Jr., Jon David Worley and wife, Stephanie, Nathalie Julia Storey, Eva Elizabeth Storey-Wyble and husband, Jimmy; great grandchildren, Coty Worley, James Wyble, Cassidy Sellars; great great grandson, Carter Sellars; extended family members, Devon, Dawn Marie and Johnathan Warner and by Dottie Stanfield, the best friend any one could hope for. Although they met late in life at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, they endured so much together.
The family would like to thank hospice nurse, Sherrie Powell for all her tender attention and the staff of Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home in Bossier City, LA, where Mrs. Storey spent the last years of her life.
Funeral services will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018. Graveside services will be at Legion Memorial Cemetery, Newellton, LA at 12 noon on Saturday, December 8, 2018.
