Juanita Frye

Mrs. Juanita McBride Dobbins Frye, born December 7, 1936, in Athens, Louisiana, departed this life on August 11, 2026, in Minden, Louisiana, surrounded by her loving family.

Juanita was a remarkable woman whose life was filled with warmth and dedication. A cherished member of Oak Grove Methodist Church, she devoted over two decades to First National Bank, ultimately retiring as Vice President. Her love for gardening was evident to all who admired her beautiful garden. Creative at heart, she delighted in cross stitch, painting, and wood crafts.

Her presence enriched the lives of those who knew her—an adored mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is deeply missed.

Juanita was predeceased by her parents, Emmett and Estelle McBride, her first husband, Drew Dobbins, her second husband, James Frye, and siblings Mildred Pate, Collier McBride, Robeline Martinez, Eula Faye Cole, and Kennon Ray McBride.

She leaves behind her sons, Barry Dobbins and his wife Janet, Terry Dobbins and his wife Karen; her stepson, David Frye and family; her sister, Edna Fern Zappa; grandchildren, Michelle Cline, Kyle Dobbins (Montie), Jeremy Dobbins (Heather), Jason Dobbins (Tarrah), Michael Dobbins (Sarah), Kristyn Anglin (Michael), Allison Dobbins; and great-grandchildren, Daxton, Ella, Everly, Brilee, Cormac, Rosalyn, Olivia, Silas, Alaina, Madison, Hayden, Sophia, Mollie, Noah, Jasper, along with numerous loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to The Columns of Germantown and Bristol Hospice for their compassionate care.

To honor Juanita's generous spirit, donations may be made to the Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home in lieu of flowers.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia, officiated by Rev. Don Newell, Rev. Montie Dobbins, and Rev. Tommy Davidson. Juanita's final resting place will be Tulip Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
