Juanita Carpenter Stevenson

Funeral services for Juanita Carpenter Stevenson will be held 2:00p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. A burial will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Ray Raney and Pastor Tommy Patton. Juanita was born in Chatham, Louisiana to Luther C and Ella Dee Carpenter. She passed away September 12, 2021. She married the love of her life, James Louis Stevenson, in 1995. Juanita attended Northeast Center of Louisiana Sate University in Monroe, Louisiana and graduated as a Medical Technologist. She loved camping and traveling. She enjoyed shopping while traveling, not only did she enjoy buying new clothes she also had a passion for buying lamps. Her first love of her life was Jesus Christ and because of that she was known to have a calming spirit. Juanita volunteered at the church by running the outreach program for a couple of years. Above all she loved her family. Juanita is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, J.B. Carpenter, Harry E. Carpenter and L.C. Carpenter, Jr. She is survived by her husband, James Louis Stevenson; sister, Ella Jean Gain; brother, Leon "Pete" Carpenter and a host of nieces and nephews. Honoring Juanita as pallbearers will be Ronnie Carpenter, Mark Carpenter, Jeff Thomas, Burt Grubbs, Jay Perry and Steve Robinson. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Rick Holland, Dennis Wise, Ron Worley and Leroy Faith. In lieu of flowers the family ask memorials to be made to Samaritan's Purse, P.O.
