Joyce Charlene Imler

A memorial service honoring the life of Joyce Charlene Cox Imler will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 6854 North Park Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana.

Joyce Imler was born June 15, 1942 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Edward and Thelma Cox and passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022.

Joyce was a graduate of C.E. Byrd High School. A hardworking single mother of five children, she retired after many years with General Motors. Joyce loved to craft, decorate, and have big family gatherings. She enjoyed gardening and her favorite flower was the passionflower. But most of all, her favorite thing to do was spend time with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and her sister.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Thelma Barnes and husband, Taylor, Edward Barber, Johnny Barber and wife, Teresa, Susan Holland, Cheryl Moore and husband, Chris; brothers, Ernest Cox and Dale Cox; along with numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
