Joyce Herring Mills

Mrs. Joyce Herring Mills, age 87, was born November 27, 1938, in Bernice, LA, to Frank W. and Sidner Boyett Herring. She entered into rest on October 5, 2026, in Arcadia, LA. Mrs. Mills worked in health care serving as a private caretaker for families in need. She loved her Lord and studied His word faithfully. Mrs. Mills loved her family. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Mills was heard by others saying, “when you see a flower, think of me.”

She is preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Gaston and husband Tommy Lisbon, LA; son Gary Wynn of Minden, LA; two grandsons, Eric Gaston and wife Kendal and Brian Gaston; four great-grandchildren, Carter Gaston, Maddox Gaston, Ryder Gaston and Landrey Gaston; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
