Funeral services for Josophene Albrecht, 89, will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Officiating the service will be Reverend Joe Huffman.
Josophene was born April 5, 1931, to Thomas and Billie Norris Walters in Bono, Arkansas and passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020 in Keithville, Louisiana.
Josophene retired from AT&T as an Electronic Technician. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Richard and her sister and brother-in-law, Lorene and Kenneth McDonald. Josephine loved to crochet, collect coins and study family genealogy. She was a long time and active member of Southern Hills Church of Christ in Shreveport.
Josophene is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 58 years, Richard John Albrecht, Sr; sister and brother in law, Lorene and Kenneth McDonald; sister Morene Thole and husband, Ed; her brother, Thomas Henry Walters, Jr.; and son-in-law, Greg Schelling. Left to cherish her memories are her son, Richard and wife Shelly Albrecht, Jr; daughter, Gisele Schelling; grandchildren, Sheryl and husband Brian Piazza, Yvonne and husband Brian Davlin, Randy Paul and wife Kerri Schelling and Brian and wife Lindsey Albrecht; great grandchildren, Lauren, Regan, Wyatt, Adelyn and Caroline; special caretakers, Karen Kenny and Susie Farnell and numerous extended family and friends.
