Private graveside services will be held for Josiah Clifton (Clif) Williams, Jr. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Forest Park East Cemetery with Dr. Murry Hodge officiating.
Clif, 92, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2019 after a brief illness. Clif was a decorated War Veteran serving in the Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. After serving his country he earned a degree from Louisiana Tech in Mechanical Engineering. He then went to work for Texas Eastern as a Pipeline Supervisor and rose to the position as Pipeline Superintendent. Clif was a faithful member of Summer Grove Baptist Church serving the Lord as a teacher, usher and trustee.
Clif is preceded in death by his parents, Josiah Clifton Williams, Sr. and Flossy Maurene Dunn Williams; brother, Ralph Clyde Williams and wife Janice; his beloved daughter, Catherine Sue Williams and niece, Susan Booker. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Sue Williams; nieces, Penny Behan (Jimmy), Vicky Anderson (David) and Cindy Blewer; nephew, Clif Williams (Blinda); cousins, Lonnie Dunn (Marsha), James Dunn (Elizabeth), John Dunn (Debbie) and special neighbor, Kevin Rogers (Cheryl).
Serving Clif as pallbearers are James Dunn, John Dunn, Jimmy Behan, Clif Williams, David Anderson and Kevin Rogers. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Booker, Mark Hollingsworth and Terry Hayes.
