Funeral services for Joseph Ophe "Frenchy" Vincent, 90, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Rev. Curtis Spears and Father John Paul Clifton officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the funeral home.
Frenchy was born January 11, 1928 in Maurice, LA and went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2018 in Shreveport, LA. He retired from Beaird Industry after 40 years. He was a very loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He put everybody first and was a friend to everyone he met.
Frenchy was preceded in death by his parents, Alcee and Agnes Vincent; wife, Maurine Gray; daughter, Linda Gay; sisters, Bernice Stiener and Bertha Domec; and brothers, Nicolas Vincent and Francis Vincent. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Ronald Vincent and wife Pam of Crossett, AR, Glen Vincent and wife Suzette of Shreveport, LA, and Rodney Vincent and wife Beverly of Hamburg, AR; brothers, Roy, Preston, Jules, Jim, and Robert; 5 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter, Braylee Marie May.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Vincent, Paul Vincent, Jonathan Vincent, Zachary Moreno, Brandon McFadden, and Randy Watson. Honorary pallbearers will be William Pierce, Gary William, Harold Stockton, E.C. Green, Rupert Sepulvado, Ray Paddie, Larry Hanson, Gerald Magee, Henry Magee, Tyrone Parker, Bobby Parker, Scott Murphy, and Dan Southern.
