Joseph Shannon McMillan

Joseph Shannon McMillan, age 63, of Hessmer, entered into rest on January 2, 2024. Joseph was born on May 30, 1960, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Edward and Alma McMillan

He is preceded in death by his mother, Alma McMillan, father, Edward McMillan and son, Matthew McMillan.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carolyn Ann McMillan; son, Benjamin McMillan (Kayla) of Marquiana, Louisiana; daughter, Katie Mayberry (Travis) of Plaucheville, Louisiana; sister, Judda Meyers (Richard) of Humble, Texas as well as eight grandchildren, Rylee Mayberry, Paisely Mayberry, Ayummie McMillan, Tristin McMillan, Ean McMillan, Emma McMillan, Maddie Ducote, and Noah Bordelon.

The family will hold a gathering to celebrate Mr. McMillan’s life, at a later date.
