Jonell Garner

Jonell Garner, age 52, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on June 26, 2026.

She was born on January 23, 1974, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Ronald M. Garner and Danna Lynn Garner.

A lifelong resident of Northwest Louisiana, Jonell was known for her fun-loving personality and for being the life of the party. When she welcomed someone into her life, she had an amazing ability to make them feel special and loved. She loved to decorate, especially her own home, and had a love for music, movies, and television shows such as Friends and Grey’s Anatomy. She also loved to thrift shop and could always find the perfect pieces for whatever was needed. An excellent cook, Jonell could see just a few ingredients and turn them into an amazing meal. Throughout her life, she experienced both joyful moments and difficult struggles. Though her path was not always easy, those who loved her never stopped hoping for peace and happiness in her life.

She is survived by her children, Danna Powell, Emily Hoskins, Allison Kraemer, and Casey Lee; her brothers, Ronnie Garner and his wife, Mary, and John Garner; as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald M. Garner and Danna Lynn Garner.

A private ceremony will be held by her close family at a later date.

The family appreciates the kindness, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time and asks that Jonell be remembered with grace and compassion.
