John Wilson Rosalis

Funeral services for John Wilson Rosalis, 94, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Interment will follow at Providence Road Baptist Church Cemetery in Keithville, LA. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2018 at the funeral home. John was born January 5, 1924 in Powhatan, LA and went to be with the Lord on November 21, 2018. He was a proud veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Marines. After his service, he worked as a truck driver until he retired. He was a lifelong member of the Teamsters Union. John was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Rosalis and Azalie Moore Rosalis; siblings, Lucky Rosalis, Gertrude Rosalis Hudson, Martha Rosalis Wedgeworth; and wife, Ina Berney Rosalis. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Azalie Everage, Michael Tobin, Connie Sims, William Tilton, John Rosalis, Frank Rosalis, Mamie Rosalis Henley, Cheryl Rosalis, Melissa Rosalis Cater; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Honoring John as pallbearers will be Bobby Henley, Jesse Hampton, Jacob Rosalis, Shane Everage, Brendan Everage, and Lee Fletcher. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Overton Brooks VA Hospital and NW LA War Veterans Home.
