John "Johnny" Camille Santone

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Services honoring the life of John Camille "Johnny" Santone, 90, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Father Joseph Martina. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave., Shreveport, LA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, LA. Johnny was born January 21, 1929, in Shreveport, LA to Josephine and Joseph Santone and entered into rest February 2, 2019, in Bossier City, LA. Johnny was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His family was everything to him. There was nothing he would not do for his children. His grandkids and great-grandkids were the light of his life. Johnny had an unmatched work ethic at his job and at home. He taught his children how to work hard and instilled in them the attitude that you can do it if you put your mind to it. Those who knew him knew that he was a perfectionist in all that he did. Johnny worked his entire career as a sheet metal worker for Hutches Sheet Metal where he was affectionately known as "Mr. Johnny". He started as an apprentice at the age of 17 and ended his career of 46 years as a shop foreman. Preceding Johnny in death were his parents, wife of 48 years, Joyce Cooper Santone, daughter, Christine Santone Winterrowd, son, John Stephen Santone, his nine brothers and sisters, and nephew, Joseph Santone. Those left behind to cherish his memory are son Kevin Santone and wife Pat; daughter, Sharon Santone Griffin and husband Johnny; son, Roger Santone and wife Sue; daughter, Janine Santone Laenger and husband Keith; son, Brian Santone and wife Diane; daughter-in-law, Hallie Miller Santone; son-in-law, Robert Winterrowd; grandchildren, Jill Gingles, Adam and Luke Santone, Michelle Scott, Daniel and Jonathon Santone, Amy, Brian and Katie Winterrowd, Tyler, Connor and Walker Santone, Emily and Jenna Laenger, Cody and Carly Santone; great-grandchildren, Dyllan and Nixon Scott, Grace and Ella Santone, Paxton and Addison Santone, Ravi Inmon, Jules Winterrowd and Arianna Santone. Honoring their grandpa as pallbearers will be his grandsons and his great-grandsons.
