HOMER, LA: John "Britt" Menefee, III, age 70, entered into rest on Thursday, October 14, 2021. There was a private service as per his wishes.
Britt was the owner of J.W. Menefee Contractors, LLC and a lifelong resident of Homer, LA. He had a deep love for his friends and the community. Britt's generosity to friends and dedication to hard work were well-known. He was a man of many passions. Britt was charming and loved to make people laugh; he reveled in the joy of others. He was a world traveler traveling to places such as Italy, Greece, and Russia. For those who knew him well, Britt traveled for more than the scenery. There is so much of Britt that cannot be put into words, and his friends and family wouldn't want it any other way.
Britt was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his half-brother, Cedric Hudgens of Morgan City, LA, along with a nephew, numerous cousins, and countless women.
