John Randolph Colbert, Jr.
A Memorial Service for John Randolph Colbert, Jr. will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Memorial Baptist Chapel, McDade, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Dave McKinney. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
John was born October 10, 1936, in Minden, LA to Farrie Outz Colbert and John Randolph Colbert. My dear sweet John went to be with our Lord and Savior December 28, 2018. John found good in everyone he met, and all became our friends that that knew he truly loved them. He didn't talk much until horses or cows came up, and throughout the years there were many. We were a blessed family, and we loved all of you very much.
Left to cherish his memory are John's daughters, Lecy Tuminello and husband Mark, Tammy Laurenson and husband Bill and Christine Bryson; sons, Jeff Jackson and Chad Jackson; sister, Claudette Lindsey. He loved you all. He is survived by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren that he was so very proud of.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the caring staff at Cornerstone, and to Dr. Nelson, Dr. Schuler and Dr. Carter Boyd, and to Martin for all your kindness.
John will take my hand and we will be together again.
