Funeral services honoring the life of John Henry Brummett, 81, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Bro. Larry Lafitte. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be held at Grand Cane Cemetery in Grand Cane, Louisiana.
John was born on August 14, 1939 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Hervey Lott Brummett, Sr. and Beulah Edna Younger Brummett He entered into eternal rest on December 11, 2020 in Grand Cane, Louisiana.
John served in the United States Army. He was a dairy farmer and was also an avid game cock fighter.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Hervey and Beulah Brummett; brother, H.L. Brummett, Jr.; sisters, Doris Simpson, Priscilla Parmer, and Nancy Burford.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Christine Rabalais and husband Mel, John Brummett and wife Amy, Courtney LaCour and husband Dustin, and Joseph Kuplesky and wife Kelsey; grandchildren, Jordan, Brayden, Farrah, Hadley, Owen, Hoyt, Autumn, Adelyn, Josley, Jaylee, and Tuxen; mother of his children, Rose Kuplesky; brother, Gary Brummett and wife Lorraine.
Honoring John as pallbearers will be Mel Rabalais, Jordan Rabalais, Brayden Rabalais, Dustin LaCour, Jack Burford, and Rodney Arbuckle. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Don Livingston, Tommy Moran, and James Griffith.
