John Stevens Bivins, Jr.

Funeral services for John Stevens Bivins, Jr., 70, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Rev. John Lary officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Park in Longview, TX. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the funeral home. John was born October 21, 1948 in Longview, TX and he passed away suddenly on December 10, 2018 in Shreveport, LA. John enjoyed every minute of being retired from the U.S. Post Office. He loved a good round of golf and spending all the time he could with his grandkids. John was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Elizabeth and John Stevens Bivins, Sr. and sister, Beth Birtcher. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Stacy Guerrero and husband, Mason; his grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Hannah and Taylor; sister, Patti Wells and husband Don; four nieces and nephews, Shannon, Shelley, Derek, and Krissi; and great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Mason Guerrero, Ted Vogel, Ronnie Mothershed, and Raymond Duckworth.
