Tommy was born November 10, 1959 in Placerville, California to John Beckett and Patricia Pace and passed away at home in Keatchie, Louisiana on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
Tommy was a proud resident of Keatchie, Louisiana, whose life was defined by service, loyalty, and deep devotion to the people he loved. After graduating from high school, he answered the call to serve his country by joining the Navy. His patriotism was a core part of who he was, and he carried that same passion into his love of politics, proudly standing by his Republican values.
Outside of his service, Tommy built a career as a well driller, certified dive master and skilled pool technician, known for his hard work and reliability. When he wasn’t working, you could often find him enjoying the quiet joy of fishing—a pastime that brought him peace and connection to the outdoors.
But above all else, Tommy’s heart belonged to his family. They were the center of his world, the source of his greatest pride, and the reason behind everything he did. His love for them was steady, unwavering, and unmistakable.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Beckett; and great-nephew, Jackson Deyo. Left to cherish his memory include his son, John Thomas Beckett III; grandchildren, Kayla Beckett and Chance Beckett; mother, Patricia Pace; sisters, Catherine Highfill and husband, Dusty, Melinda Beckett, Jennifer Boyette and husband, Jamey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honoring Tommy as pallbearers will be Gregory Deyo, Johnathon Deyo, Nick Motz, Christopher Bacot, Kyle Bacot, and Coty Malone II.
