Mansfield, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Joey James "Jamaica" Welborn, 61, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at Rose-Neath Chapel in Mansfield, LA with Pastor Toby Shaw officiating. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA on Monday, January 28, 2019, from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. Joey was born November 24, 1957 in Texarkana, AR and entered into rest on January 25, 2019 in Shreveport, LA. He was a truck driver by trade and was a loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather. Preceding Joey in death were his father, James L. Welborn, maternal and paternal grandparents Ben and Thelma Welborn and Van and Villa Reid and his precious fur babies Baby and Lady. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 33 years, Dolly Welborn of Mansfield, La,; his mother, Ruby Jean Welborn of Doddridge, AR; two daughters, Bridget Toups & Bill Campbell of Mansfield, La and Terri Winfree and husband Josh of Converse, La,; son, Raymond Joe Welborn and wife Diane of Doddridge, AR,; brother, Rusty Welborn and Cheryl; grandchildren, Dalton, Hunter, Dakota, Austin and Kelsey; and his fur baby Sissy. Serving Joey as pallbearers will be Bill Campbell, Jeff Hines, Waylon Palmer, Dalton Irish, Josh Winfree and Lynn Youngblood. Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Price.
