Joel L. Myers

Joel L. Myers, 35, of Athens, Louisiana was born June 18, 1988, in Minden, Louisiana and entered into rest June 23, 2023, in Athens, Louisiana. Joel was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Haley Myers of Athens, father, Kevin Myers of Minden, mothers, Margaret Anna Myers of Minden and Barbara Myers of Zwolle, son, Brycen Myers Athens, daughters, Oakley and Aleiah Myers of Athens, brother, James Backest (Nicole) of Longview, TX, sister-in-law, Celeste Backest of Shreveport, and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church in Minden, Louisiana.
