Joe was born March 18, 1941, in Birmingham, Alabama, and entered into rest May 1, 2023, in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Watson and Mary Haynes and brothers, Jack W. Haynes and Dennis A. Haynes and brother-in-law Butch Michael.

He is survived by his wife, Debra “Debbie” Michael Haynes of Minden; daughter, Debra Haynes Wilbee of Sibley; sons, Joe M. Haynes, Jr. of Mississippi, and Joseph M. Haynes of Washington; sisters, Judy White, and Brenda Prince and husband Tommy; brothers, Michael Haynes and wife Kathy, and Danny Haynes and wife JoAnna; grandchildren, Kelly Boothe, Kinlee Boothe, Kristen Boothe, Joe (Trey) Haynes, III, and Wyatt Haynes; sister-in-law, Tammy Bloxom and husband Mark; brother-in-law, Greg Michael and wife Sylvia; sister-in-law Carolyn Michael; and a host of other loving relatives.

As a veteran of the Vietnam War, Joe honorably served our country in the U.S. Army.  He graduated from Hinds Jr. College and later attended LA Tech.  He was a man of many and varied talents.  In his earlier years, Joe enjoyed fishing, hunting and a genuine love of being outdoors.

Joe believed strongly in hard work and enjoyed all the tasks associated with caring for cattle and stewarding the land.  For almost 40 years, Joe was the successful owner/operator of Haynes Chemical Service and took great pride in a reputation of providing his clients quality service at a fair price.

He was the ultimate provider and protector of his family and will be greatly missed. We take solace in the knowledge that Joe knew and loved the Lord and trust he has been welcomed into his Heavenly home.

The family extends sincerest thanks to the administration, nurses and staff at The Blake of Bossier City, and Regional Hospice for their genuine compassion and loving care given to Joe during his illness.
