Joe A Green

Stonewall, LA - Joe A. Green age 91, passed away on November 18, 2019 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mr. Green was born to Alvin and Addie Green on July 9, 1928 in Rosepine, Louisiana. After school he joined the Army Air Corp. where he was stationed in the Philippines. He fought in World War II before returning home. Soon after he met and married his wife, Millie, they went on to have five children. Mr. Green was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Mildred Withers Green. He is survived by his children, Barbara Packer, Richard Green, Joe Lynn Green and wife Vickie, Donald Green, Robin Coleman and Husband Mandy Ray; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Centuries Memorial Cemetery, ?8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA. Officiating the service will be Pastor Dennis Aaron of Open Range Fellowship. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Open Range Fellowship. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Life Path Hospice and Southern Hills Nursing home for the loving care given to our father.
