Joe L. Bartley

Graveside services for Joe Lavern Bartley, 90, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2019 at Centuries Memorial Park with Pastor Leslie Earl Bartley officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Rose-Neath Southside. Joe was born December 6, 1928 in Ringgold, LA and went to be with the Lord on March 9, 2019 in Bossier City, LA. He worked and retired as a service parts manager in the automobile industry. In addition to being a dedicated family man, he was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing and hunting. Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Minnie Bartley; wife of 56 years, Lucille Bartley; daughter, Rhonda Kay; and brothers, Eldridge Bartley, Leon Bartley, and Ray Bartley. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jo Nell Pfingsten (Roland); grandchildren, Rodney Horton (Tracey) and Paul Pfingsten (Lee); great-grandchildren, Hunter Horton, Jacob Horton, Reece Horton, Brandon Bennett, Hayden Horton, Chase Horton, Cooper Pfingsten, and Avery Pfingsten; brother, Johnny Bartley; son-in-law, Waymond Kay; and numerous extended family. Honoring Joe as pallbearers will be Rodney Horton, Paul Pfingsten, Dallas Niette, Jr., Gary Thomas, Ben Thomas, and Derry LaBorde. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Maranto, Dr. Patton, Dr. Shaw, the Willis-Knighton Bossier staff, Heritage Manor of Bossier, and Summerfield Estates.
