Funeral services to celebrate the life of Jo Ann Mary Taylor, 81, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2023, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial to follow the service at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Randy Johnson.
Jo Ann was born on August 25, 1941, in Washington, D.C., to Earl Taylor and Virginia Ann Patke Taylor, and passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Jo Ann loved traveling, and every fall for the past 30 years, she and her friends would take a trip to War Eagle, Arkansas. She was passionate about cars, especially her Camaro, and enjoyed going to NASCAR races. Some of her favorite singers were Elvis Presley, Alan Jackson, and Rod Stewart. She absolutely loved the Dallas Cowboys Football team. Jo Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she will be greatly missed by all.
Jo Ann is preceded in death by her parents; and son, Brian Boyett and wife, Hollie. She is survived by her son, Curtis Boyett, Jr.; granddaughter, Shannon Garsee and husband, Brandon; great-granddaughters, Kelsey Hall and husband, Chris, Kerrigan Garsee, and Kamryn Garsee; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Hall, and Jesse Hall; brother, Michael Taylor and wife, Barbara; nephew, Shawn Taylor; and loving companion, James Churchman.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the second-floor Cardiac Unit at Willis-Knighton North for all the love and care you showed to Jo Ann during her time there.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
