Jimmy (J.D.) Cathey

A memorial service honoring the life of Mr. Jimmy Dale (J.D.) Cathey, of Bryceland, formerly from Jonesboro-Hodge, will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia.

J.D. was born on December 9, 1943, in Jackson Parish, Louisiana to Garland and Marie Thrift Cathey. He passed away on July 21, 2022, in Shreveport, Louisiana, after a lengthy illness. He will be missed by all who knew him.

J.D. is preceded in  death by his parents Garland and Marie Cathey, and by daughter Cindy Dale Cathey.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Teresa Cathey LaCaze, Karen Cathey Marsalis and husband Lovic, and Gayla Cathey, grandchildren, Crystal LaCaze Rabo and husband Bubba, Candice LaCaze, Mason Barry, Sydney Cathey, Ella Nielsen, Avoree Nielsen, and Cole Marsalis, and by great grandsons Hayden Rabo and Kreux Woodard.
