Jerrie Lynn Price

Jerrie L. Price passed away on May 16, 2025, at the age of 78 in Shreveport, LA. Born on September 1, 1946, Jerrie dedicated over 30 years to the Caddo Parish as a school bus driver, ensuring the safety and care of countless children on their daily journeys to and from school.

Jerrie was a woman of many talents and passions. She was an enthusiastic cook, often filling her home with the aromas of delicious meals, especially during the holidays. Her home was a welcoming space where she maintained a secret trunk of gifts and goodies, ensuring that no visitor left empty-handed. A talented crafter, Jerrie spent her spare time sewing, quilting, crocheting blankets for her new grandbabies, and painting skills that she both cherished and excelled at.

She was a faithful member of Gloster Baptist Church, where she participated in numerous community and church activities, further showcasing her kind and generous spirit.

Jerrie is survived by her sons, Danny Joe and his wife, Staci, and David Price, Sr. and his wife, Christine; grandchildren, Victoria Robbins, Mitchel Arinder, Sean Price, David Price, Jr., Justin Price, Mason Arinder, Shelbi Conde, Breanna Price, Blake and Colton Alamond, Casey Price, and numerous great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother, John Finklea; sister, Judy Henley; and many other dear family members and friends.

Jerrie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Abby Finklea; her husband, Shelby Glenn Price; and her daughter, Debra Arinder. 

Services to honor and celebrate her life will be held at Rose-Neath Southside, Shreveport, LA. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Jerrie will be laid to rest at Forest Park West, beside her beloved husband, Shelby Glenn Price.
