Jeffrey Lyn Beaubouef went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Visitation will be held in the parlor at Kings Highway Christian Church, 806 Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana, on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the sanctuary at 11:00 a.m.; burial to follow at Forest Park Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating will be Reverend Gary Hodel. Jeff was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on March 2, 1953 to Edna LaVerne Broussard Beaubouef and United States Navy Commander James Allen Beaubouef. During his childhood, Jeff attended eleven different schools in various states because of his father\'s military service. Jeff was proud of the fact that he accomplished the Life Scout Award from the Boy Scouts of America. Every time the family moved, he joined the local Boy Scout troop. He graduated from Alexandria Senior High School and went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University Shreveport. He began a career with McCary\'s Jewelers prior to graduation from LSUS and continued his career for 47 years. He was a Master Jeweler and a registered jeweler with the American Gem Society. Jeff was a talented artist in designing jewelry for many customers throughout the years, and he loved his craft. He retired in 2020. A faithful member of Kings Highway Christian Church, Jeff served on the Board of Elders, Board of Deacons, and was an active member of the Discovery Sunday School Class. He also held membership in the Southeast Shreveport Kiwanis Club. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, James A. Beaubouef; and his sister, Cassandra Osborne. Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Deanna Bellew Beaubouef; his daughter, Jennifer Beaubouef Pylant (Ben); son, Matthew Allan Beaubouef (Rene\'); nephew, Benjamin Mathis (Kandy); the mother of his children, Sherry Bellows St. Claire; four grandchildren, Elise, Henry, Adelaide, Duke Ryan; and a host of friends, including his family at McCary\'s Jewelers. Honoring Jeff as pallbearers will be Matthew Beaubouef, Ben Pylant, Ben Mathis, Corey Olson, Phillip Semon, and Dennis Wissing. The family suggests donations may be made to Kings Highway Christian Church at 806 Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71104.
