Funeral services for Jeffery "Jeff" Lee Goodman, 65, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at St. Ann's Cemetery in Stonewall, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Bro. Daniel Wilson and Bro. Will Simmons.
Jeff was born on March 28, 1960 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Faye Goodman and passed away on Monday, March 26, 2026 in Shreveport.
Jeff was a proud resident of Stonewall whose roots stretched back to his days at Lawrenceburg High School. After graduating, he built a long and dedicated career at Libbey Glass, where he formed friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Music was woven into the fabric of who he was. Jeff loved playing guitar at church, and his talent earned him the affectionate title of “Best Bass Player in Northwest LA.” Whether on stage or among friends, he brought joy, rhythm, and a sense of fun wherever he went.
Beneath his easygoing nature was a deeply compassionate heart. Jeff never hesitated to pause and pray with someone in need, especially the homeless, and he made a point to thank servicemen personally, shaking their hands with genuine gratitude and thanking them for their service. His kindness was quiet but powerful, and it touched people in ways he never sought recognition for.
Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, John Goodman and Faye Voorhies Goodman. Left to cherish his memory is the love-of-his-life, his wife, Karen; children, Alleigha Miller, Christina Goodman, Alee Goodman and Jeffery Goodman; grandchildren, Corbyn, Mattie Sue, Jolie Foxx, Gabe, Paislee, Emerson, Memphis, Cypress, and Roper; and sister by choice, Damanaca Hebert.
Honoring Jeff as pallbearers will be Joe Procell, Blake Baldwin, Terry Douglas, Travis Inman, Tyler Cummings, and Steve Ramsey. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Tim Howard, Randy Sheets, and Shane Pons.
He loved life, loved people, and loved creating moments that made others smile. Although we miss Jeff terribly, we feel blessed that we shared our lives with him and will cherish the beautiful memories forever.
