Jeannine Belcher

Shreveport, La- A graveside service for Jeannine Brackman Belcher, 82, will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Officiating will be Reverend Buddy Hankins. Visitation with the family will be prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home.

Jeannine was born on January 22, 1933 to Alfus and Ruby Brackman in Vivian, LA. She passed away on June 18, 2015 in Shreveport, LA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ralph E. Belcher, and her siblings. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Jeannine was a bookkeeper at Olin Mathison Chemical Plant for 30 years in Pasadena, TX. After retiring, she returned to Shreveport and worked part-time for American Greeting Co., servicing area stores with greeting cards.

For several years she was an avid dancer and she also loved swimming, shopping and traveling. She could play cards and fellowship for hours with her friends.

Recently, Jeannine moved her membership back to Southside Baptist Church, the church of her youth and young adult life. She was excited about her decision to rejoin there.
