Jeanne Marie Cecola

A Funeral Mass honoring the life of Jeanne Marie Cecola will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 315 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Monsignor Earl Provenza.

Jeanne Marie Cecola was born August 8, 1929 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Nick and Josephine Cecola and passed away, Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

Jeanne graduated from St. Vincent’s Academy in 1945. She received her BS in 1950 and her ME in 1954 from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. She was a lifelong educator, teaching at St. Mary’s and St. Pius X, and was principal of St. Teresa’s and St. Catherine’s.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, and nephew.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Dr. Russell Cecola; niece, Mary Ann Cecola; nephews, Nicholas Cecola and wife, Nicole, and Dr. Patrick Cecola and wife, Fayne; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
