Jeanette Taylor Kendrick, 95, died on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Pilgrim Manor Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation after a fall and an ongoing illness of Alzheimer's disease.
Jeanette was born on September 5, 1926 in Jacksonville, Florida to John Bryant Taylor and Jewel Phillips Taylor. She met the love of her life, Rodney D. Kendrick, Sr., in Florida where Rodney was serving in the United States Navy. After marriage, they moved to Shreveport, Louisiana, where they reared their family. Later, they made their residence in Homer, Louisiana. After the sudden death of Rodney, Jeanette moved to Bossier City, Louisiana to be closer to family. She last resided at Brookdale Senior Living before moving to Pilgrim Manor. She was a faithful member of The Huntington Church of Christ in Shreveport.
Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years, Rodney Kendrick and her brother, Harold Taylor. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Rodney Kendrick, Jr. and wife, Renae and John Darryl Kendrick and wife, Judy; five granddaughters, and numerous great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their sincere and heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Brookdale Bossier and Pilgrim Manor for their professional and personal care for Jeanette over the last four years.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later time.
