Jeanette Thompson Gray Fee, 71, of Minden, Louisiana, passed away peacefully in her home on September 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Jeanette Thompson Gray Fee was one of a kind. Her strength and independence inspired anyone who knew her, and her sharp humor and playful spirit brought joy to everyone around her. She will live on in our hearts with love, and in the laughter that will forever bring her back to us.
Born in Springhill, LA, on December 28, 1953, Jeanette was the daughter of Imogene Hodges Thompson and Willie Gilbert Thompson. She married young and soon after welcomed her first child. Over the years, she raised her children with strength, humor, and love, teaching them to be independent and true to themselves, just as she was. As time went on, she found even more joy in becoming a grandmother, and eventually a great-grandmother — titles she wore with pride. Her family was the center of her world, and the love she poured into them will continue to ripple through the generations.
Jeanette Thompson Gray Fee was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Baker, as well as Kenny Gray, her first husband turned lifelong friend, and husband, Pat Fee. She is survived by her three sons and their wives: Jeff (Shannon) Gray, Rocky (Stacy) Gray, and Patrick (Cassandra) Fee; her ten grandchildren: Gunnar Gray, Landon Gray, Landry Gray, Cade Gray, Brody Gray, Bryce Gray, Chloe Gray, Hannah Douglass, Olivia Raymond, and Landon Raymond; her great-granddaughter Charlotte Gray, daughter of Cade and Melina Gray; and her many, many friends, including Steve “Goob” Garrett, DeWanda Perkins, and Donna Bryant.
A visitation will be held Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Rose Neath Funeral Home located at 211 Murrell Street, Minden, LA 71055. The family will gather privately from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, and friends are invited to join from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Following visitation, a graveside service will be held at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, adjacent to the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Cade Gray, Gunnar Gray, Landon Gray, Brody Gray, Landon Raymond, and Bryce Gray, with Steve “Goob” Garrett serving as honorary pallbearer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in her name. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers, and support shown during this time, and extends special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice for the loving care they provided Jeanette in her final days.
