SHREVEPORT, LA - A memorial service celebrating the life of Jason Allen Dean will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Rose-Neath Marshall St. Chapel, 1815 Marshall St. Shreveport, LA 71101. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Moore. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday from 3:00-4:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Jason was born on October 14, 1975 in Springhill, Louisiana to Nita and Jimmie Dean and went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 9, 2017. He proudly served his county in the United States Navy. Jason did things big. Once he entered a room, everyone knew it. He was fun loving and fiercely loyal. If he loved someone, there was nothing he would not do for them. He loved music, and his ability to provide an atmosphere of fun was unmatched. There were not many people that could read a room like DJ Solo. He loved putting songs together that many people would not think of, and he made them work. He knew how to throw a party. Jason had a great love for animals. Except, of course, rats. He adored his dogs and they went everywhere with him. His greatest love was for his children. His proudest days were when Abby, Spencer, and John Robert were born. He coached soccer, DJ\'d end of year class parties, and hosted the Abby and Daddy Cooking Show. He was an amazing father and left some wonderful memories for his babies.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Sidney Allen Dean and Larnelle Doss Dean, Larry and Dolly Singleton. Left to cherish his memory are Leslie Goins Dean; his three children, Abigail Dean, Spencer Dean and John Robert Dean; parents, Jimmie and Nita Lynn Dean; sister, Jennifer Hemmings and husband Patrick; brother, John Dean and wife Natalie. He is also survived by Lindsey Sikorski and husband Steve, Laura Rushing, Lacey Chreene and husband Andy; nieces, Amelia Sikorski, Brooke Landman, Maggie Landman and numerous extended family members and friends.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the 6th floor Doctors and Nurses at University Health and the staff at Aime Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion.
