Jarrel Lee, age 86, of Keithville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025. She was born on June 26, 1939, in Plain Dealing, Louisiana, to the late Johnnie Ervin and Lillian Myrtle Barnett Edmonds.
A proud graduate of Fair Park High School in Shreveport, Jarrel was a devoted member of Ellerbe Road Methodist Church. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life — especially in playing games and cards with friends and family. Her laughter and quick wit were a constant source of warmth to those around her.
Jarrel was married to the love of her life, Bob Lee, for 62 wonderful years. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and partnership. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bob, as well as her parents.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Robert T. Lee and wife Tammy, Stephen C. Lee and wife Debbie, and daughter Jeanna R. Guthrie and boyfriend Mike Kuhr. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Matthew Guthrie and wife Brittany, Amanda Lee and fiancé Zach Molden, Jennifer Martin and husband David, Robert J. Lee and fiancé Erron Bennett, Morgan Lee, Rebekah Lee and fiancé Quintin Pitts, and Kristen Lee; as well as her beloved great-grandchildren: Eli, Myles, and Lily Martin; Noah and Abigail Guthrie; and Carson and Annalee Pitts. She will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces and many valued friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Rose-Neath Southside, in Shreveport. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the same location, with Rev. John Korlaske officiating. Interment will be at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana.
Honorary pallbearers include Robert T. Lee, Stephen C. Lee, Robert J. Lee, Mike Kuhr, Greg Guthrie, and David Martin.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to St. Joseph Hospice in Shreveport for their compassionate care and support.
Jarrel Lee leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion that will live on through her family and all who knew her.
