Janis Diane Showman

Funeral services for Janis Diane Rinaudo Showman, 67, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Rev. Todd Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Janis was born March 20, 1952 in Shreveport, LA and went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2019 after a brief illness in Shreveport, LA. She was a master gardener. Her passion was nutrition, which she studied for 37 years. She was very active in several churches. Janis was preceded in death by her mother, Bobbie Rinaudo. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 29 years, Robert Jay Showman; father, Vincent Joseph Rinaudo; sister, Kathy Smith and husband Dr. Don; brothers, Joey Rinaudo, Paul Rinaudo, Jim Rinaudo and wife Donna, Tim Rinaudo and wife Betty, and Tommy Rinaudo and wife Donna; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Honoring Janis as pallbearers will be Chad Anderson, Mark Scully, Tommy Scully, Randy Grigsby, and Don Johnson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Caddo-Bossier Cancer Foundation League, 3300 Albert L. Bicknell Dr., Ste. #3, Shreveport, LA 71103.
