Janie Mae Bossier Straus

Funeral service celebrating the life of Janie Mae Bossier Straus, 69, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home 943 Polk St. Mansfield, Louisiana, with Bro. Amador Santos officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Stanley, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.

Janie was born on April 2, 1956, in Mansfield, Louisiana to Truitt Lester Bossier and Willie Mae (Smith) Bossier and passed away January 1, 2026, in Mansfield, Louisiana.

Janie was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Truitt Bossier, and niece, Angela Bossier.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, David Straus; sons, Charlie Evans (Heather), Jimmy Evans (Tisa), Thomas Straus (Sommer), David Cox (Karlie); grandchildren, Chase Evans, Josh Evans, Jr. Evans, Jadon Evans, Skyler Evans, Branson Harmon, Brentlynn Straus; great grandchildren, Chandler, Cohen, and Caigan; and brother, James (Boogie) Bossier (Barbara).

Honoring Janie as pallbearers will be Josh Evans, Jadon Evans, Brandon Lagars, Thomas Straus, Jimmy Evans and Charlie Evans.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Brentlynn Straus, Cohen Evans, Branson Harmon, and Jr. Evans.
