Janice Mae Palmer Vazquez
of Logansport, Louisiana, passed away
Wednesday, March 16, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.
Janice was born January 17, 1952 to parents Chester
Clarence Palmer and Mary Josephine Wimberly Palmer in
Logansport, Louisiana. She graduated from Logansport
High School in 1970 and Panola College in 1972. She was
known by some as Janice, to others as Mama, Grandmama,
Aunt Janice, and affectionately called Janice Mae.
She was well known for her love of people. Her love for
people caused her to unselfishly go out of her way to
assist others. She put the needs and concerns of others
above her own and was always willing to help. She will be
remembered for her quick wit, beautiful smile, bright blue
eyes, and contagious giggle. Even as she faced death, her
children were comforted by her determination and humor.
They will always recall with fondness how they enjoyed her
last giggle. Janice truly loved others. As one of Jehovah's
Witnesses, she found great comfort in the Bible's message
of hope and she enjoyed sharing these Bible truths with
others. One of her biggest joys were the pride of her life,
her children and grandchildren.
Janice will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Janice is survived by her son, Robert Vazquez, and
daughter-in-law, Ann Marie Vazquez; by her daughter,
Grace Hardesty, and son-in-law, Aaron Hardesty; and by
her daughter, Evelia Vazquez. Janice is also survived by
two grandsons, Luke Vazquez and Levi Vazquez. In addition
there are many nieces, nephews, and other relatives, all
whom she dearly loved, as well as a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother,
Joe Douglas Palmer, and her sisters, Benita Barbara Cliff,
Kitty Maryann Matheny, and Cheryl Darlene Palmer.
