Janet Tumbleson Pharris

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Janet Tumbleson Pharris, age 61, on Saturday, December 7, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, and friend. Janet was born on December 24, 1962 to William and Jane Tumbleson in Brooklyn, New York. 

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk St. Mansfield, LA 71052. Funeral services honoring the life of Janet will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Pastors Andrea and Brandon Burnett. Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Northwest LA Veterans Cemetery, Keithville, Louisiana. Honoring Janet as pallbearers will be Nicholas Pharris, Micah Assulin, Michael Carter, Rusty Bates, Vincent Tumbleson, John Tumbleson, and Tommy Tumbleson. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Randy Pharris, Roger Pharris, Ronnie Pharris, and Wayne Tumbleson. Burial will be held the following week at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Bro. Mike Armstrong. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Jane; and brothers, Robert, Jimmy, and Richie Tumbleson. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Rick Pharris of Mansfield, Louisiana; son, Nicholas Pharris and wife Megan of Rock Hill, South Carolina and their son Blayton; former foster sons, Michael Carter and wife Stepanie of Midland, Texas and Micah Assulin (Sissy) of El Dorado, Arkansas; second mom, Joy Hatcher of Converse, Louisiana; brothers, William Tumbleson and wife Teri of Sayreville, New Jersey, Wayne Tumbleson (Patricia) of Atlanta, Georgia, Timothy Tumbleson and wife Patricia of Brooklyn, New York, John Tumbleson (Donna) of Tullahoma, Tennessee, and Tommy Tumbleson of Atlanta, Georgia; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
