Janell Kay McMillian

Funeral services for Mrs. Janell Kay McMillian, 83, will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church, 4501 Hwy 476, Negreet, Louisiana. A burial will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Brother Jimmy Glover.

Janell was born on October 8, 1940 to Howard Douglas Wright and Lucy Small Wright in Many, Louisiana and passed away on September 27, 2024 in Many, Louisiana.

Janell was preceded in death by her husband, David McMillian; parents, Howard and Lucy Wright; son, Bruce McMillian; sister, Marguerite Faye Gandy; brothers, Terry Wayne Wright and H.D. Wright, Jr; daughter-in-law, Tina McMillian; and granddaughter, Ashton McMillian. She is survived by her sons, Jason McMillian and wife, Becky, of Many, Louisiana and Brent McMillian of Many, Louisiana; daughter, Shelia Branam and husband, Kerry, of Many, Louisiana; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Honoring Janell as pallbearers will be Micala Britt, KD Calais, Abbey Farmer, Adyson Leach, Ryan LeBlanc, Bradly McMillian, Darien McMillian, and Brent McMillian, Jr. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Isaac Britt, Nora Britt, Avery Britt, Cal Calais, Cole Calais, Emma Farmer, John Luke Farmer, Anakin LaBlanc, Boone Leach, Mak Leach, Brayden McMillian, Malakai McMillian, Tucker McMillian.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Wendy Sanders for the care and comfort she provided to Janell during her time of need.
