James H. Wynne, III

A Memorial Service for James "Jimmy" Harrison Wynne, III, 76, will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Sunday at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Jimmy was born on May 7, 1945 to Dr. James Harrison Wynne, Jr. and Mable Grace Wynne in Ventura, California and passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 in Jefferson, Texas. Jimmy was a resident of Shreveport and worked as a painter before retiring. In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and flying his remote control airplane. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and he loved his family to the fullest. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Barbara Ann Wynne. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Kathy Wynne; sons, Michael Wynne, James Wynne; and daughter, Erica Walker and husband, Mike; brothers, Jack Wynne and wife, Natalie, and John Wynne and wife, Linda; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family would like to express special thanks to Magnolia Place Wellness and Rehab for the great care they took of Jimmy. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
