James "Jimmy" Thomas Wright

A Memorial Service for James “Jimmy” Thomas Wright, 86, will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service Officiating the service will be Rev. Steve Richardson.

Jimmy was born on April 16, 1939 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Johnny C. Wright and Wilma L. Aust Wright and passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026 in Shreveport.

Jimmy was a long-time resident of Keithville, Louisiana. He was employed by Alloy Piping as a saw operator until he retired in 1998. He enjoyed watching old westerns and gardening. He loved America and visiting with family and friends in his red pickup truck.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Floyd E. Wright, Lloyd Wright, Joe Wright, Albert Wright, Lash L. Wright; sisters, Estell Ebarb, Elsie Galbraith, Dorothy McDonald, Rudell Malone, Maddie Wright, and Patsy Wright.

Left to cherish his memory is his brother, Cornelius Wright and wife, Glenda; sisters, Mary Caraway, Stella Wright, Charlene Sirman and husband, Dale, Carla Huff and husband, Scott; niece, Kim Pleasants and husband, Jeff; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

Jimmy will be terribly missed, but we are at peace knowing he is in heaven with the rest of his family.
