Funeral services for J.R. "Bob" Sewell, 78, will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. There will be a private burial for family only. Bob was born December 1, 1942 in Lindale, Georgia to George and Ruth Sewell. He passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 in Bossier City, Louisiana. Bob was a starter for four years for his high school and college baseball teams and was even the MVP his senior year of college. He attended Shorter College in Rome, Georgia where he received his bachelor's degree in accounting. After graduating Bob started his career with General Electric where he met the love of his life, Mary Sewell. Bob always enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Georgia Ruth Sewell. Bob is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary Sewell; sons, Jim Sewell; Mike Sewell and wife, Susanne, Lee DeMoss and Russell Demoss and wife, Jessica; sisters, Betty Greene and Rosella Roberts; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Honoring Bob as pallbearers will be Chris Barnes, Mathew Sewell, Andrew Sewell, Jonathan Sewell, Joshua Sewell, Nolen DeMoss and CJ DeMoss. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Knotts, Nicholas Knotts and T.J. Sweeney. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
