James Huson Register, Sr.

James Huson Register, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 17, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. James was born on April 27, 1935 in Logansport, Louisiana to Joel and Vera Register. Preceding him in death are his parents, Joel Huson "Tight" Register and Vera Mae Register; son, James Huson Register, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Faith Register. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Emma Jean Register; sons, Ernest Register and wife Robin and Bret Register and wife Keshia; brother, Bob Register and wife Teresa; sisters, Virginia Davis and Janet Morton; grandchildren, Kristin Gulotta and husband David, Daniel Register and wife Brandie, David Allen Eddins and wife Christi, Amelia Register, Jessica Register, Peyton Register, Andrew Rains, and Haley Waller and husband Brian; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Aaliyah, Isabell, Madison, Addie, Dawson, Annaleigh, Buster, Lane, Luka, Arriane, Avery Sue, and Maverick. Honoring James as pallbearers will be Daniel Register, Peyton Register, Andrew Rains, David Heard, and David and Kristin Gulotta. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Rex Heard, Bubba Dykes, Bret Register, and Ernest Register. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, private graveside services will be held for family only. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date for friends.
