James B. "Mickey" King, 80, died of cancer Thursday, February 10, 2022 in Shreveport, LA. Mickey was born on September 6, 1941 to Buford King and Madge Holland King in Petaluma, CA while Buford was stationed at the naval base. He grew up in Crossett, AR, and was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University. Mickey was a resident of Shreveport and Minden for over 50 years and worked as a tax accountant in the oil and gas industry before retiring. He attended Evening Light Tabernacle in Minden and enjoyed singing and listening to gospel music.
Mickey is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Sharon King; daughter, Janelle King of New Orleans; and sister, Karen Drucker of Crystal River, FL.
A private family service will be held in the future. His ashes will be buried in Ebenezer Cemetery in Castor, LA.
